    1. Thank you.
I enjoyed 'doing' the Prokofiev - but the Miaskovsky didn't really hold my attention 'all the way through'.

Always I hesitate before transferring anything that has been 'recently on CD' as, despite the transfers being (allegedly!) of high-quality, its really difficult to match the 'silent background' of those - or 'noise-reduced' LP transfers; but fortunately EMI made some nice pressings (and masterings) around that time - so these are, inherently, rather 'decent'..

I'd (sort of) be tempted to make a coupling of the Rostropovich Dvorak Concerto (RPO/Boult) with Tortelier's excellent version (Philharmonia/Sargent) - but as those are on 1950's HMV mono's it might be too time-consuming: always 'a factor' in these transfers..

    2. Indeed they can be very time consuming. But believe me when I tell you that I thank you very kindly for your hard work, and that it is deeply appreciated by myself and many others. This and your other blogs are veritable storehouses of treasures.
