  2. Noticed a Visitor from a 2009 link on your B10" - so, as it takes only a jiffy to make these HUGE transfers, thought "I might as well" - as the el-cheapo original MP3's were only available for a week or so!

  3. Many thanks for this. My copy of the 2004 broadcast got corrupted somehow and the resulting mp3s were always nasty to listen to.

  4. I did see you mention this broadcast elsewhere!
    I can't recall if it was a stereo production (was recording it on cassette - but dumped that as the additional music over-ran the C90) - possibly not (being 'Home Service'): though Radio 3 broadcast an early (circa 1959?) stereo production by Raymond Raikes in 1982 or so (I thought it was Bizet's L'Arlessiene: but see that was TX'd 1972 on Radio 4 - there was another archive Play broadcast @ that point - can't now trace it - which the BBC may be nudged into repeating.
