  1. Hello-
Thanks very much for allowing me to hear the A. Bush Concerto. You introduced me to the music of a composer I was unaware of. It's a fine work, although the last movement is rather preachy, and I wish the piece was instrumental all the way through. I hope the CD with his Concert Suite for Cello and Orch comes to fruition.
Also Thanks for the Munchinger Bach Suites. (KM's recordings introduced me to Bach when I was in college. There is still no peer to KM's "Musical Offering".) I'll be downloading them shortly.
    Hope all's well.
    -best wishes, Greg from SF

  2. Hello Greg. If you download the 'complete' broadcast then the announcer puts it into some context as to why the work is 'like that' - also the John Amis talk - with him chatting to Alan Bush - gives yet more detail. It is an 'important' composition - yet (?) to receive a commercial recording. Re KM - I might tackle his, never on CD, Bach Fugues/Ricercare + Beethoven Grosse Fugue that I mentioned elseewhere - and theres the 'Contemporary Music for Strings (LXT5153) - Martin/Hindemith/Berkeley/Barber that's hovering near the turntables... But get a Thumping Headache if I tackle too much!!!!
